A couple of weekends ago, Knoxville hosted yet another AdventureCon: a sci-fi, horror, comics… whatever… convention. I took a few photos and video on my little digital camera and got around to editing and posting on YouTube last night. Enjoy…
Enjoy this fairly recent comic that pays homage to my favorite actor, Charlton Heston, and his trio of classic sci-fi films… The Chuck Triad; Planet of the Apes, The Omega Man, and Soylent Green ( We’re not counting his appearance in Beneath the Planet of the Apes.)
Unfortunate choice for a product name… AcipHex is pronounced the same as Ass Effects.

I took this photo of a note posted to a store entrance during lunch last week. If you look closely, the photo shows what seems to be a separate message written beneath this note… kind of like those old paintings you hear about that have been x-rayed to reveal a different painting beneath the surface. Yeah, kind of like that.

I am tired of all this divisiveness in the country. Can we not put all this Republican versus Democrat bullshit out of the way and truly work together to solve our problems? There are a lot of intelligent people in Washington that continuously succeed in getting absolutely nothing done. Whatever happened to compromise? I believe that our elected officials in Washington are playing this game to suit themselves and are totally out of touch with what Americans need or care about.
I really hope that Obama and his team can fix the economy… and shouldn’t everyone share that hope rather than tear it down just for the sake of complaining?
I hope we really learn something from all this so we don’t find ourselves here again. Hang in there, everybody.
Well, I was rooting for the Cardinals since it was their first trip to the Super Bowl, and the Steelers have had their share of championships, but it was not to be. The game was great though, and the pre-game and half-time shows were fun.
The commercials were somewhat lackluster, and the hands-down best one was the Doritos “crystal ball” commercial.
Also, the movie trailer for Star Trek was pretty cool…
